In addition to her newest book Three Marys: A Wild Horses Mystery, Robin Somers is also the author of Beet Fields and the earlier Wild Horses Mystery, Eleven Stolen Horses. A founding member of the Coastal Cruisers chapter of Sisters in Crime and Emerita Lecturer in writing at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Somers draws deeply on her years living in the Sierra foothills, where she worked as a crime reporter and editor for the United States Forest Service.
